Modern Manor Bathroom
This bathroom was transformed from a small dark bathroom for the main floor to proper secondary bath and a cheater ensuite for the second bedroom. Finishes in this bathroom changed from dark wood, wallpaper and dated fixtures to a floating vanity topped in pale quartz with chrome fixtures hovering over lustrous grey tiles and bright white tub surrounded by glass and pebble to complete this spa-like bath.
To maximize the space in this conversion we took the extra footage required from the second bedroom closet to make way for us to reorganize the bathroom layout and include a pocket door access to the second bedroom, relocation of the toilet and the addition of a tile, pebble and glass shower. We also removed the existing baseboard heaters in favour of adding a duct from the new furnace and taking out the fluorescent lighting in favour of adding a decorative light fixture to enhance the space. Removal of the window treatment and finishing the window in the same black as the main house tied the look together and provided the natural light element we were looking for.
